NTMA-U: Online Training for Manufacturers

NTMA-U is a free, online educational platform available to our members to help upskill current employees. It offers flexible, self-paced coursework covering key topics in machining, blueprint reading, safety, and more. Machining and Manufacturing in Texas

Graduating Students Qualify To Test For National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Certification. CNC Machinists play important roles in operating and programming the machines that create parts for a wide range of industries, including auto, aerospace, military, agriculture and more. Lincoln Tech’s CNC machinist school in Texas prepare students for an entry-level career as a CNC Operator, Machinist or Set-up Technician.

Highlights of Machining & Manufacturing Training

Students prepare to qualify for credentials from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) in the areas of job planning, bench work, milling, CNC turning, and more.

Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided-Manufacturing (CAM) classes teach you the software programs needed for milling parts. Students also learn to read blueprints and work with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) equipment to direct tool paths.

The Texas manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC), part of the NIST-MEP National Network, is comprised of 8 regional offices, works with Texas-based businesses to help develop and improve their profits, products, processes, technology and people. Since 1995, TMAC has helped more than 6,200 organizations secure recorded improvement in revenue; cost optimization; and job growth.

TMAC Metroplex, located at The University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute (UTARI), serves as the flagship region for the Center.
